Electron Beam Evaporator

7 kW Temescal electron beam evaporator with six 7 cc pockets, operating in an Edwards High Vacuum chamber (base pressure 10-7 Torr) with shutter system and a quartz crystal monitor and deposition controller.

Chemical Vapor Deposition Systems

Two chemical vapor deposition systems,  based on horizontal tube furnaces, one with three independent controlled temperature zones and the other with a single controlled temperature zone. Both equipped with vacuum lines (10-2 Torr) and five independent inlet gas lines.

Spin Processor

Spin Coater, Laurell H6M23N, equipped with Automatic Syringe.

Potentiostat/galvanostat

 Ivium Technologies, model Vertex.5A.EIS_5A/10V/1MHz, with Integrated impedance analyzer 10uHz-1MH, equipped with a modulated multicolor light source - 7 colors LEDs with varying wavelength output (Cool White 6500K, Blue 460nm, Green 523nm, Amber 590nm, Red 623nm, Deep Red 660nm, Far Red 740nm) 

Low temperatures electrical transport measurements 

Transport measurements are performed in a vacuum chamber (base pressure bellow 10-8 Torr) with four 1.63 in clear view quartz windows, equipped with a 10 K closed-cycle refrigerator system (Janis) and a gold-plated OFHC copper sample holder that operate in a wide range of temperatures (10 K to 500 K). The system include a high resistance meter (Keithley 6517B), high precision current source (Keithley 6221), and nano voltmeter (Keithley 2182A). 

Optical Microscope

Olympus trinocular microscope model bx53m with reflected and transmitted light led illumination system.  10x / fn22 wide-field eyepieces, 4x, 10x, 40x, and 100x infinite optic pln objectives.

Solar Simulator

Newport Oriel Solar Simulator, 1.5 soles, 2-inch diameter beam.

Spectrometer UV-VIS-NIR

Spectrometer OceanOptics USB4000  operating in the range of 200-1100nm.

Spectrometer FTIR

Thermo Nicolet 6700 FT-IR Spectrometer.
